Europe's Biggest Interactive Railway Museum reopens in April. The monumental two-day season opening event will be held on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.
The Railway Museum has been among the most visited museums in Hungary for years. Its annual number of visitors exceeds 100.000 people. The Museum with its magnificent park, exciting programs, well-liked garden railway, historic exhibits and serious historical past is a popular leisure program venue for families and rail vehicle lover adults.
Every year thousands of kids and adults attend its events. The Easter Bunny Search event is worthily popular among families, but with its exciting selection of programs Children's Day and the Santa Claus Express has also gained great popularity over the years. The XII. European Garden Railways Meeting and the Locomotive Matinee which for the first time this year will not be held at the end of summer, but in June, will be providing a lasting experience for the train lovers.
It is worth visiting the Railway Museum in this year too, it’s guaranteed that you will find yourself an exciting program, while relaxing in a beautiful environment.
On April 21-22, on Easter, the Museum starts its season with a two-day traditional festival. On both days a playful Easter Bunny Hunt awaits the little ones. Whoever finds all the bunnies hidden in the park, uncovers the puzzles and collects all the stamps, receives a guaranteed gift.
In the Creative Corner on Sunday and Monday visitors can try out activities like cogwheel and pin making, or painting and coloring plastic eggs. On Easter Monday there will even be additional traditional DIY programs, such as plating and candle making. The skillful ones can weave their own Easter basket, which they can later fill with treats and beautifully painted eggs.

On the 22nd of April, a Petting zoo awaits the little ones, where they can get acquainted with the small and big domestic animals, and ponies. The braver ones will even have the chance to pet them!
Naturally, the Railway Museum is not whole without the Garden Railway, the turntable, the steam locomotive and the horse tram! It is worth trying each interactive tool, providing an unforgettable experience for the whole family.
